Hi friend,
There are 700 biotechs currently working on age-related science.
More capital is flowing in than ever before and the science is more solid than it has ever been.
And yet the most googled name in longevity is still Bryan Johnson.
Phil Newman has been mapping this space since 2018 through Longevity.Technology, tracking hundreds of these companies firsthand.
He painted a picture that stuck with me.
You're at a longevity cocktail party. Someone asks what industry you're in.
You say longevity. They say: "Oh, like that Bryan Johnson guy?"
That's the problem Phil keeps coming back to.
So we sat down to cut through it.

The Longevity Industry Has a Noise Problem
After surviving five years of biotech winter, the industry is back. More capital, more clinical trials, more science moving from pre-clinical into humans. Phil calls it plainly: the biotech winter is over.
Phil is actively working with industry groups to build the baseline certification that longevity desperately needs. A longevity operating system, as he calls it, that takes you from diet and sleep all the way through to the interventions a professional would administer.
Without it, the word "longevity" risks meaning everything and nothing at the same time.
What struck me most about Phil is that he doesn't just see the problems. He sees exactly where this is going.
He has spent eight years building the most detailed map of this industry that exists. And right now, that map is pointing to something big.
We are standing at the edge of what Phil calls the longevity chasm. The moment where this stops being something only early adopters talk about and starts becoming something that touches every single one of us.
The science that will make that happen is already in development. The drug that could do for longevity what Ozempic did for weight loss is closer than most people think.
Phil knows what it is. He knows where it will come from. And he shares exactly what he thinks the next five years look like.
This is one of those conversations that changes how you see the time you have left.
In this episode you will discover:
The 10 levels of longevity and where you actually sit right now
Why the "longevity wash" could be the industry's biggest threat
The GLP-1 parallel and what the first true longevity drug might look like
Why your genetics might matter 3x more than you were told
Phil's boldest prediction for 2030 and what it means for you
Clip of the Week
When you focus on the good, your brain starts to look for more of it.
That’s the power of neuroplasticity.
I shared a short clip showing how your neurons expand and strengthen based on what you focus on.
Simple Practice
Find Out Where You Actually Are
Phil mapped longevity into 10 levels. Most people are at level 1 or 2 without realising it.
Practice: This week, honestly assess which level you are at. Are you sleeping well, moving daily, limiting alcohol? That is level one. Have you done any diagnostics, a biological age test, a biomarker panel? That is level two.
Pick one thing from the next level up and start there.
Why: You cannot optimise what you have not mapped. Knowing where you are is the first real act of longevity.
P.S. Phil's parting words were don't fck it up. If that landed for you the way it landed for me, hit reply. I'd love to know what you're going to do differently.
